Essex features: Commitment to quality and safety provides the Essex with the most reliable and advanced electronics in use today: Standard automatic ignitor, thermostat capability, solid state, six settings, and status light indicators.This is the pellet electronic controller by which industry standards are measured. In addition, our advanced design provides a safety pressure sensor, high temperature and proof-of-fire limits, which prevent unsafe operation from down drafts, blocked flues, open doors, or lack of fire.The Essex also has an automatic cool-down and auger shut-off feature if it's running out of fuel.
